Mama J is one year older

Alright I’m already 31 years old, though I thought I was 32. Seriously… What a joke right? 😏 And on my 31st birthday, Papa Yap insisted that I ought to have my birthday meesua which I normally would cook for my little family. He even suggested to cook for me. Of course, I flatly rejected his kind offer. It’s kind of scary to even imagine him cooking in my kitchen… Haha… In the end, he brought me to Putien for a dinner treat, as well as fulfilling the ‘birthday meesua mission’. At least I got to eat it for my birthday as well. 😉

This year, I spent my birthday not only with my little family, but as well as my close relatives and siblings. Though it’s quite a pity that my parents were unable to join us due to their work commitment. Still, I’m happy enough.

I had organized a karaoke session at the Temasek club, the same place where Papa Yap celebrated his birthday. Looking at how spacious the room was, it was certainly enough to fit the family. Besides that, the additional soccer table would provide them with another activity to do, at the same time keeping Darian occupied. Anyways Darian was also anticipating to play the soccer table after knowing that we would be going there. Hello son, please understand that not all KTV room has a soccer table alright… Haha…

It was such a joyous night, singing and drinking with this bunch of people. I’m glad to be able to celebrate this special day with all of them. Double Ds had an enjoyable time playing with everyone too. To my siblings, aunts and cousins, thank you for your presence, as well as the presents and cake. Much appreciated.

It’s definitely a good reason for double Ds to stay up late. Isn’t it! By the way, they were really happy to be wearing their Spiderman and Snow White costumes. Silly kids! ❤

Papa Yap 32nd Birthday

Papa Yap’s 32nd birthday was actually on a Monday hence we decided to celebrate on the day before instead. This time round, my parents in law joined us in Papa Yap’s mini birthday celebration at Temasek Club where I had booked a room for 2 hours karaoke session. I supposed it was a smart choice to have booked the biggest room with a soccer table. The spacious room gave the kiddos ample moving space and the soccer table really kept Darian well entertained throughout the entire session.

Prior to the Karaoke session, Double Ds spent some time at the air conditioned playground as we were there early. Well they certainly enjoyed playing at the playground and I wouldn’t mind watching them play in a cooling indoor environment too.

We had a good time, ‘partying’ in the room. We sang, watched the kids sang “Let it Go” and danced to Gangnam Style, played at the soccer table, ate Papa Yap’s cute birthday cake chosen by Darian and took lots of delightful photos. It was absolutely great to see how happy everyone was. We ended off having dinner at Bedok Mall and getting Darian a toy at Tampines Mall. Hmm… I wondered whose birthday was it actually? Haha 🙂

So on the actual day, 27th October, Papa Yap came home after work to the usual home cooked birthday noodles and a card specially made by me and the kiddos. 🙂

Simple gift simple food.

Major love major happiness! ❤

Sunday with the guys

***29th July***

Ang treated us to a dim sum ala-carte buffet lunch at TungLok Seafood Arena opposite Safti MI. Just the usual group, Ang and Yanni, Jeff and family together with us. The food is relatively good. Not fantastic but not that bad either. However we felt their service is not exactly up to our expectation. Either the waitress got some of our orders miss out or we would have to wait quite a while for the food to be served. Overall, for the price of $21.80 per pax, it is still considered reasonably alright. 😉

Happy kids! 🙂

After lunch was a 3 hours KTV session at the Temasek Club. We reached there an hour earlier and so we brought the kids to the indoor playground. The kids were having much fun while the adults were couching on the sofa. We agreed that the three hour singing session was way too long. We didn’t sing that much and I was really too tired to be singing throughout. For the kids, they spent most their time out in the indoor and outdoor playground under the supervision of the guys in rotation shift. Haha… How do you expect the kids to be seated in the KTV room for hours. It’s tough or rather impossible! Haha… Guess that is also the cause that triggered Darian’s fever… Nonetheless, Sunday with the guys was great! I am pretty sure Darian enjoyed himself very much too! 🙂

Lovely TwentyEight

On the 29th November, i officially turn 28. (Haha… my oh my, candles are increasing on my cake!) Having celebrated quite a number of birthdays in October and November, including Papa Yap, my sis and my adorable son whose birthday was just three days before mine,  finally it’s my birthday! 🙂

The day started rather gloomy, as the rain sets in and the phone rings, I received a rather bad news from Papa Yap after his exam at SIM. He told me that he hit a car on his way to his examinations. Oh, seriously what a way to start my day… However, on a positive side note, I should be relieved that it was a minor accident and nobody was hurt in that instance. He got his car checked at the workshop and was reassured that he could send the car in for repairs the next day as he needed it to drive us around for my birthday celebration.

Everything got better when we reached Temasek Club. For the start, we brought Darian to the indoor playhouse  and he had a wonderful time there! As it was a rainy Tuesday, we had the whole air-conditioned indoor playhouse to ourselves! Great! So much to play with, the slide, the tunnels, the kiddy cars, and as we explored the second level there’s a  few arcade game machines, a mini slide and playhouse, Xbox kinect, Wii, board games and a few computers for lan games! The best part is that they are all free except for the lan games and arcade games machines. Cool! 😉

lovely place for the kiddos!

Happy Sonny! Happy Mommy! 😉

Cruising around the playroom.

Can I hitch a ride? ;p

Hmm… What to cook? ;p

Darian joined in the fun with Papa Yap and we were super amused by his actions! Totally hilarious, cheeky and adorable! 😉

Enough of all the fun and action for the boy, it’s finally my entertainment time. Woo… KTV! Yeah!  We proceeded to the Reggae room for 2 hrs of karaoke singing! (I just love singing.) We had a good deal of 2 hrs karaoke session with 5 standard drinks and 2 bowls of tidbits at only $29! 🙂 Of course I’m the main singer for the day and Papa Yap sang two duet songs with me. Love you.. muacks.. Lil’Darian shuffled to his favourite song – the party rock anthem in the room. haha.. Seriously till now, he is still attracted to the song. Everytime if he hears it, he will give an excited face and start shaking and ‘shuffling’ to the music. I really wonder why?? future clubber? Haha… Please dont! ;p

Haha are you singing or licking the microphone?

My loves.. muacks..

Later at night, we met up with my sis and John at Fish and co in  Tampines 1 for a birthday treat. We happened to bump into Richard and Yanni at Tampines 1. While they were still queuing for their dinner at Dian Xiao Er, Richard came over to Fish and co and carried Darian out for a short walk. Hah finally we managed to eat in peace for a while! ;p My sis bought me my favourite cakes from Secret Recipe. So sweet!

May my wishes come true 🙂

Though my birthday was just a simple affair but spending my day with my loved ones is blissful enough! Moment spent like this, is definitely priceless! (It’s not about the money money money…) Last but not least a big thank you to all for the lovely birthday treats, pressies (Especially love the Swarovski Earrings and Agnes b hp cover) and wishes through facebook and mobile. They simply complete my wonderful TwentyEight! You guys rock! 🙂
