We were totally looking forward to this 3 days 2 nights stay at MBS since August. First of all, I must thank my aunt who got us the room and also our buddy who arranged a great room for us. Much appreciated! We are truly blessed with all the love around us. heehee 😉
We, especially double Ds, love the spacious room as well as the fantastic view. Double Ds were incredibly happy upon entering the room. It was really a good start for the staycation! 🙂
After settling down, we strolled over to the Gardens by the bay while Darian happily glided on his Y glider. It was our first trip to Gardens by the bay and we really enjoyed walking around looking at all the pretty flowers in both the observatories- Flower dome and Cloud forest. The good thing was that the observatories were air conditioned which definitely made our visit a much pleasant one. The weather was really humid outside.
At about 7pm, we began our mid-autumn festival lantern exhibit walkthrough which showcased the iconic landmarks of 7 global cities; thematic lantern set pieces such as Racial Harmony in Singapore; SEA Games 2015; 12 Chinese Zodiacs and Birds of Paradise; Chinese themes such as the Ancient Chinese Palace, the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea and the Treasure Voyages of Cheng Ho. The lantern pieces sets were all so colourful and spectacular. We took some beautiful pictures despite the number of crowd.
We ended our Gardens by the bay visit at the Supertree, Garden Rhapsody show. Our plan of taking a walk along the OCBC skywalk didn’t happen in the end because we were rushing for the MBS water and light show at 9.30pm. After we got back to the hotel at 10ish, double Ds were surprised to see a chocolate treat specially prepared for them. Of course, they were delighted! 🙂
