National Museum of the Marine Corps

***2nd & 16th August***

The National Museum of the Marine Corps is just located next to the Marine Corps base camp. Papa Yap has been wanting to visit the museum and so we decided to drop by one Saturday morning.

It is one huge museum with many galleries and exhibits. We were totally in awe, walking through the galleries and looking at all those amazing exhibits. It is certainly one spectacular army museum. Awesome! The interactive technology, multi-media exhibits and thousands of artifact displays used to showcase the evolution of the Marines and American war history were undeniably stunning. It was also explicit enough for us to learn and understand more about the specific role of the Marines, and how those experiences affected American history. I must say the people who put this together did a great job! Impressive!

Did I mention that the admission is free? 🙂 That really gives us a good reason to go again. We revisited the Marine Corps Museum for a second time because we couldn’t complete the entire exhibitions during our first visit. There was way too much information for Papa Yap to digest and I supposed the duo were the other reason. Yet another great afternoon at the museum. We did enjoy ourselves and probably be revisiting again. Absolutely worth the second visit and perhaps more! Thumbs up! 🙂
